Job Summary

As a Child Support Specialist with Dodge County, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of children and families by enforcing child support orders and providing support services. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Reviews and researches applications and referrals to determine child support or medical support orders and enforcement
Drafts and composes legal documents, including Motions, Affidavits, Stipulations, Judgments, and Orders
Enters and processes data in the State of Wisconsin Kids Information Data System (KIDS) and other systems
Communicates with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders regarding case concerns and updates
Monitors and enforces child support orders and payment records to ensure compliance with child support guidelines

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, law, or business administration
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex laws and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
Knowledge of Wisconsin statutes and child support guidelines, as well as experience with KIDS and other relevant systems
