Aquaculture Social Scientist Researcher

ECS is seeking a highly skilled Aquaculture Social Scientist Researcher to join our team in Juneau, AK.

The successful candidate will contribute to the identification of Aquaculture Opportunity Areas (AOAs) and support the implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) through social impact analyses.

The researcher will collaborate with NOAA's Office of Aquaculture, NCCOS, and Regional Aquaculture Coordinators to develop social science and siting analysis tools.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in social impact assessment, trade-off analysis, and qualitative social science research methods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing guidance documents and protocols for conducting social impact analysis for AOAs
  • Delivering detailed reports on social issues and impacts related to AOAs

Required skills include knowledge of NEPA, attention to detail, and timely execution of work deliverables.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in social science, with a PhD preferred.
