Certified Speech and Language Pathologist Position:
Requires valid Alaska Type C Special Services Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s)

Achieve a positive impact on the community by delivering integrated therapy services to students who require speech therapy intervention in accordance with all school district, state and federal requirements.

Collaborate with staff to promote the highest practicable physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being for students using trans-disciplinary team approaches. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide identification of needs and delivery of integrated therapy services to students who require speech therapy intervention.
  2. Collaborate with staff to promote the highest practicable physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being for students.

Requirements:

Master's degree or higher degree with a major emphasis in speech-language pathology, audiology, or speech-language and hearing science; or possess certification of clinical competence from the American Speech Language-Hearing Association.

Valid Alaska Type C special services certificate with a speech endorsement, or able to secure Alaska Type C certificate upon hire.

Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills.

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a school environment.

Verbal and written communication skills to perform the tasks required as part of the facility team.


Preferred Requirements:

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) desired.

School-based experience desired.

Experience working with children having a broad spectrum of disabilities.
