About the Position:
The National Docketing Association seeks a skilled Paralegal Specialist to provide technical paralegal functions, including research through legal information networks, evaluation, and processing of civil and administrative matters. The ideal candidate will manage legal services administrative activities and oversee the income tax program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conducts legal research, analyzes information, and prepares drafts and/or edits legal or administrative documents.
• Serves as a Paralegal Specialist in the Alaska Trial Defense Service (TDS) Office, responsible for all defense activities for Soldiers on Active Duty.
• Directly assists trial defense attorneys in preparing and trying cases.
• Serves as the point of contact for Soldiers seeking TDS legal advice and coordinates with unit personnel and command concerning the defense of Soldiers facing criminal and administrative processing.
Requirements:
• Must have a strong understanding of legal principles and procedures.
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
