About the Role
As a Senior Flight Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS). This position involves minimal supervision, allowing you to leverage your expertise in developing effective testing and evaluation strategies for advanced sUAS platforms.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement testing methodologies for new sUAS aircraft, focusing on critical areas such as electronics, avionics, propulsion, and flight performance.
  • Conduct comprehensive system and sub-system testing, ensuring all hardware and software components meet stringent performance standards.
  • Lead test planning efforts, establish success metrics, and analyze performance data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and refinement of innovative sUAS technologies.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in flight test engineering for sUAS.
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS operational regulations.
  • A strong foundation in sUAS engineering principles, with a proven ability to apply these concepts effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capacity to quickly grasp new concepts and implement solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
