Role Overview:
As a pivotal member of the Test and Evaluation team, you will ensure that Anduril's products adhere to the highest standards of performance and reliability. This role focuses on the testing and development of autonomous systems, particularly the Fury, a Group 5 Unmanned Aerial System (UAS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and lead developmental tests of mission autonomy capabilities utilizing surrogate vehicles in a dynamic testing environment.
- Enhance testing methodologies, concentrating on mission autonomy systems to guarantee robust performance in intricate scenarios.
- Create and implement test plans that rigorously assess and validate autonomous system capabilities across diverse simulated mission profiles.
- Analyze test data to confirm system performance and identify improvement opportunities, continuously refining autonomy algorithms and behaviors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish test requirements and ensure alignment with system capabilities and mission goals.
- Provide critical feedback to influence the advancement of Anduril's mission autonomy technology.
- Refine test procedures, safety protocols, and documentation standards to uphold the integrity of all flight test operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in flight testing, particularly with autonomous or remotely piloted systems.
- Expertise in developing and executing test plans for complex systems under tight deadlines.
- Comprehensive understanding of mission autonomy principles, unmanned systems, and the integration of multiple assets into cohesive operational frameworks.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret test data, diagnose system behaviors, and suggest actionable enhancements.
- Proven track record of collaborative work with diverse teams to achieve project objectives.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical challenges and solutions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel for testing purposes.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret-Level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Hands-on experience in developing, testing, and deploying mission autonomy systems within defense or aerospace sectors.
- Familiarity with simulation environments and tools for testing autonomous systems.
- Knowledge of software development practices and programming languages relevant to autonomy and robotics.
- Awareness of industry and military standards pertaining to unmanned aerial systems.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range from $120,000 to $180,000 USD.
