Role Overview
The Test Engineering team engages with a diverse array of products, including Altius, Lattice, Ghost UAS, Sentry Tower, and cUAS. We are responsible for comprehensive system-level testing, new aircraft development, and sub-component qualification.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Flight Test Engineer, you will work with minimal oversight to devise and implement strategies that fulfill testing and evaluation objectives. Your primary focus will be on the development of new aircraft, emphasizing electronics, avionics, propulsion, and flight performance.

Your testing responsibilities will encompass both hardware and software evaluations at the system and sub-system levels. This includes:

  • Test planning and defining success metrics
  • Conducting ground and flight tests
  • Analyzing performance data
  • Driving improvements in testing processes

Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in flight test engineering are required. Candidates should possess:

  • In-depth knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS regulations
  • Experience with both manned and unmanned rotorcraft, including various powertrain types
  • Familiarity with EO/IR/Lidar sensor payloads and their testing on rotorcraft
  • Understanding of fly-by-wire systems and rotorcraft dynamics

Applicants must demonstrate strong engineering principles and possess the ability to rapidly grasp new concepts, coordinate complex tasks, and communicate effectively.

Preferred Skills
Experience with software documentation and Linux operating systems is advantageous. Candidates should also meet the requirements of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 107 for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
