Florida International University, a top public university, is seeking a Community Involvement Specialist to support its All-Stars middle school enrichment program. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education's community engagement efforts.

Job Overview

The Community Engagement department requires a skilled professional to assist with registration, communication, and data management for the FIU All-Stars program. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively with parents, and contributing to the overall success of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify student attendance and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist program managers with registration and data management.
  • Prepare and maintain program files and documents.
  • Update student attendance records and perform registration activities.
  • Respond to inquiries from parents and students regarding program offerings and procedures.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Social Work, or a related field. Alternatively, Miami-Dade County Public School employees with at least one year of experience working with children may also be eligible. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Benefits

As a temporary employee, you will not be eligible for all employee benefits. However, you may be eligible for health care benefits under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) if you work an average of 30 hours or more per week. Supplemental plans, such as dental and vision, are also available for purchase.
