Summary

  • The Communications Specialist will participate in the planning, development, and implementation of communications strategies and activities to support JHS communication and marketing efforts.
  • This is a project-oriented position with some oversight and works in a confidential capacity in preparing reports, project documentation, and analytics for department management.
  • Position requires exercise of independent judgment.
  • Responsible for maintaining information not available to the general public as confidential.
Responsibilities
  • Possess knowledge of digital marketing tactics, digital performance media channels (e.g. SEM, SEO, social, video & programmatic display, etc.), and data-driven digital strategy.
  • Experience in managing and optimizing Google Business Profile and Yelp listings with information such as new photos, hours of operation, etc.
  • Manage and organize email customer audience list databases and understand email marketing and remarketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT and web development teams to ensure seamless integration of digital projects.
  • Provide recommendations for user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Analyze digital analytics data to derive insights and drive improvements in digital experiences.
  • Assist agency of record on user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and enhance user engagement.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and user journey maps.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT product management, and web development, to deliver cohesive digital experiences.
  • Assist in the development of wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of digital tools and platforms to improve user experiences.
  • Provide training and support as needed for stakeholders on digital experience tools and methodologies.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance digital strategies.
  • Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise).
  • Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
Experience
  • Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in UX/UI design, project management, and digital analytics preferred.
  • Experience with digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) preferred.
  • Experience working in a healthcare organization preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of web development processes and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Asana).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for creating user-centered digital experiences.

Education

Bachelor's degree OR 5 to 7 years of equivalent experience in related field is required. Preferred degree in Communications, Marketing, Health Management, or related field.

Credentials

Active license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
