Job Summary

Thales is seeking an experienced professional to join our marketing team as a Strategic Events Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of high-quality external and internal events in partnership with internal stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute assigned events, including global trade shows and conferences, working with marketing, product marketing, and sales teams across the business.
  • Act as project lead for assigned events, making recommendations and holding all stakeholders accountable for their area of responsibility.
  • Set, communicate, and maintain timelines and priorities on every event.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and team members to develop event plans outlining event details, deliverables, and marketing initiatives required to promote the event.
  • Coordinate and manage internal teams and external vendors in the execution of marketing programs and maximize vendor strategic partnerships.
  • Eager to jump in and help with ad hoc marketing projects and open to embracing new challenges.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience with all aspects of event management, including venue/vendor sourcing, vendor management, budget management, registration, communications, campaigns/promotion strategy.
  • IT/Technology or cybersecurity industry event experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize multiple tasks, and complete scheduled tasks on time under competing deadline pressures.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs and priorities while remaining flexible and open to continuous growth and improvement.
  • Must demonstrate a professional demeanor and be able to interface with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and customers at all organizational levels.
  • Able to independently resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
