Key Responsibilities:

The primary goal of the Public Areas Attendant is to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all public spaces within the property. This role is essential in delivering an outstanding guest experience and supporting the overall mission and values of the Grand Bohemian Asheville.

Core Duties Include:

  • Warmly greet and engage with guests and colleagues, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Uphold guest privacy and confidentiality, safeguarding personal information.
  • Thoroughly clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Log and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate departments.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized work environment, reflecting the high standards of the establishment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and property goals.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Ability to effectively perform cleaning tasks and operate necessary equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation practices.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service and maintaining high standards.

Work Environment:

The work environment may include shared spaces with moderate noise levels. Flexibility in scheduling may be required based on business needs.

Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. The incumbent may need to lift and carry items up to 10 lbs.
