Department: Social Services - Administration

Salary Range: $22.96 - $27.53

Job Overview:
This role is essential in providing operational assistance to designated department personnel, ensuring the upkeep of essential work environments, supplies, and equipment.

Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in office administration, light construction, procurement, or maintenance; or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Licenses or Certifications:
Must possess a valid driver's license in North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory of office supplies and equipment, distributing items to staff as necessary.
  • Coordinate and assist with relocations for staff and departments upon request.
  • Support workspace arrangements, including the assembly and installation of equipment, particularly IT-related items.
  • Handle work order requests, purchasing card transactions, and invoice verifications, ensuring swift resolution of issues.
  • Oversee the shipping, receiving, and delivery of requested supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all assigned workspaces.
  • Implement a preventative maintenance schedule and conduct inspections to ensure the upkeep and repair of facilities and assets; maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities.
  • Adapt to shifting work priorities and effectively complete assigned tasks.
  • Schedule and prioritize support services related to staffing changes, relocations, and facility expansions.
  • Gather cost information from various vendors and provide recommendations to management.
  • Ensure compliance with the agency's Safety and Security Policy.
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with practices and procedures related to facility management and security.
  • Understanding of supply and inventory management techniques.
  • Capability to identify equipment or workspace issues and arrange for necessary repairs.
  • Ability to maintain professional and diplomatic relationships with colleagues, the public, and visitors.
  • Proactive in responding to emergencies and taking effective action.
