Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimal lodging experiences for all guests, adhering to operational guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Deep Clean Technician to coordinate and execute preventive maintenance and deep cleaning tasks in guest rooms.
  • Timely completion of the Preventive Maintenance program using the designated reference guide.
  • Document completed preventive maintenance tasks in the Logistics App.
  • Conduct walk-through inspections alongside the General Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to fulfill guest or operational needs.
  • Carry out general maintenance tasks throughout the hotel, including painting, wallpapering, lighting repairs, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repairs, and flooring maintenance.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire alarms and water line issues.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards while wearing the provided maintenance uniform and name tag.

Essential Qualifications:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist plays a vital role in proactively addressing maintenance issues, ensuring every guest room is fully functional and in excellent condition. This position supports hotel brand initiatives by delivering thorough preventive maintenance services and assisting the engineering department with special projects.

Required Skills and Experience:

Proficiency in using basic maintenance tools and equipment is essential. Ability to patch walls, clean carpets, and paint surfaces is required. Capable of guiding maintenance teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure task completion. Must demonstrate productivity both as part of a team and independently. A strong work ethic, prioritization skills, and a sense of urgency are crucial.

Education and Experience:

A High School Diploma or GED is required. Familiarity with basic maintenance tools and equipment is necessary. General knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing is preferred.

Physical Demands:

This role requires the ability to bend, kneel, reach overhead, climb ladders, and stand or walk for extended periods. Candidates should be able to navigate up to seven flights of stairs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds may be required.
