Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Fortinet. As a key member of our sales organization, you will work closely with a Major Account Manager to support the sales process in all technical matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint.
  • Be the main technical resource on sales calls, answering or educating customers and partners on technical issues.
  • Conversant with networking applications and solutions.
  • Lead technical contact for identified accounts, working closely with the technical support team and engineering to resolve customer technical issues.
  • Provide assistance to identified customers with post-sales training.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer.
  • 5-7 years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
  • Strong understanding of DNS and NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, network security, intrusion detection, and anti-virus technologies.
  • Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, firewall, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES technologies.
  • Experience with encryption and authentication technologies required.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree favorable.

Compensation:

On-target earnings for this position are expected to be $200,000 - $240,000 per year. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
