Job Title: Education Program Coordinator

About the Role:

The Los Angeles Urban League is seeking a highly motivated and organized Education Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing educational programs that impact students' academic achievement, career planning, college readiness, and personal/social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and deliver programming that meets the needs of students and families.
  • Manage case records, including assisting participants with completing applications, collecting case documents, and conducting program assessments.
  • Develop and maintain case files for each youth enrolled in the program, providing case management, career, and guidance counseling.
  • Monitor student academic progress and provide support and guidance as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to program participants, prospective participants, and the community.
  • Evaluate student's previous educational experiences and implement the Project Ready curriculum.
  • Build partnerships with school systems, university systems, and community-based organizations to better understand and meet the needs of students.
  • Actively participate in program recruiting and prepare program outreach materials.
  • Support funding requirements and participate in program evaluations.

Requirements:

  • College degree in Liberal Arts, Education, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Intermediate-level experience using Microsoft Excel and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Valid California Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
