Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Manager to join our team at Restaurant Depot. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our meat department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meat Department Operations
    • Oversee the daily operations of the meat department, including inventory management, product rotation, and display maintenance.
    • Ensure that all products are properly stored, handled, and displayed to meet company standards.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to our customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive sales and increase customer loyalty.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and train a team of meat department employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they are meeting their job responsibilities.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to help them improve their performance.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the right products in stock to meet customer demand.
    • Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments as needed to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Loss Prevention
    • Identify and implement strategies to reduce shrink and prevent loss in the meat department.
    • Monitor sales and inventory data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to reduce loss.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a meat department management role, preferably in a wholesale or retail environment.
  • Skills
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
    • Knowledge of inventory management and loss prevention strategies.
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Working Conditions

The Meat Department Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to cold temperatures. The position requires standing for long periods, frequent bending, and lifting of up to 60 pounds.
