The primary function of this role is to provide administrative support to Behavioral Health Providers, ensuring the smooth operation of programs and services. This includes coordinating appointments, managing patient records, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Appointment Coordination: Schedule daily appointments for Providers, manage incoming referrals, and make changes to the schedule as needed.
- Patient Support: Greet and check-in patients, prepare them for appointments, and maintain confidentiality of patient health information.
- Clerical Support: Provide direct clerical assistance to BH Providers, including registering new patients, collecting insurance information, and running reports.
- Inventory Management: Inventory, order, and stock supplies as needed, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Other Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor, including taking patient co-pays, balancing daily receipts, and managing cash-bags.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, with AA degree or some college experience preferred.
- Certification/Licensure: State Certified Interpreter preferred, with Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR required.
- Experience: Two years of office experience in a clerical setting, with working in a healthcare or behavioral health center preferred.
- Language Skills: Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office software, with strong keyboarding skills and ability to analyze and solve problems.
This role is performed in a typical inside, office environment, with light physical effort and repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
