Bilingual Behavioral Health Assistant I

The primary function of the Behavioral Health Assistant I is to provide support services to Behavioral Health Providers, including Clinical Supervisors, Social Workers, and Therapists. This role involves assisting in program maintenance, coordinating daily appointments, and providing direct clerical and interpretation assistance.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in program maintenance and provide support services to Behavioral Health Providers
- Coordinate daily appointments, including scheduling patient appointments and managing incoming referrals
- Provide direct clerical and interpretation assistance to BH Providers, including registering new patients and collecting/verifying insurance information
- Coordinate referrals from and to community partners for continuity of patient care
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor
- High School Diploma or equivalent; AA degree or some college experience preferred
- State Certified Interpreter preferred; must be eligible for Medical Assistant-Registered Licensure if working at any Behavioral Health site in which Psychiatric ARNP requires support
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR required or must be able to obtain within first 90 days of employment
- Two years office experience in a clerical setting preferred; working in a healthcare or behavioral health center preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish required
