Job Summary:

As a key member of the Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board (GPTLHB) team, the Financial Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization. This position will be responsible for managing the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the GPTLHB's financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to ensure the organization's financial stability and growth.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to financial management, including OMB Uniform Guidance and HIPAA.
  • Supervision: Supervise and mentor a team of financial staff to ensure effective financial management and compliance.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic financial plans that align with the organization's mission and goals.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance, including supervisory experience.
  • Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and leadership skills, and proficiency in financial software and systems.
