Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Controls Technical Project Manager to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and completing control systems projects with assigned customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement project plans to ensure timely and cost-effective installation and completion of assigned projects.
    • Coordinate the required resources to execute projects, including hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage project costs, billings, and collections to ensure profitability goals and positive cash flow.
    • Complete project billings in a timely and accurate format to the client.
  • Technical Leadership
    • Provide technical direction to System Technicians, Electrical Installers, and System Designers.
    • Ensure that delegated tasks are done accurately, on time, billed, within budget, and within scope of the contract.
  • Customer Communication
    • Coordinate communication with the customer during all phases of the project.
    • Ensure proper execution of warranty and provide training to the customer on system operation.
  • Relationship Building
    • Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
    • Attend job progress meetings as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum of a technical Associate's Degree with two years of field experience or four years of equivalent related field experience in the HVAC industry.
    • Relevant technical hands-on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
    • Ability to perform work independently.
    • Knowledge of project accounting, costing principles, and contracting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Personal Computer Skills
    • Strong personal computer skills.
  • Technical Knowledge
    • Knowledge of control theory and HVAC systems.
