As a key member of our finance organization, you will be responsible for managing a staff of 2-4 individuals and overseeing various accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts receivable, billing, and contract close-out.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Oversee the general ledger financial system, including Costpoint and Unanet.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Manage month/quarter/year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Review and examine financial statements, approving journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on special projects and provide backup support for bank reconciliations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting, including cost accounting and government contracting.
