Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership Responsibilities:
- Enforce adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices, along with all organizational policies and procedures.
- Promote and monitor employee health and safety, ensuring a secure and supportive workplace.
- Conduct performance evaluations, manage employee recognition and disciplinary actions, and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
- Oversee staffing levels, proactively addressing vacancies, and fostering professional relationships within the team.
- Resolve interpersonal conflicts and facilitate ongoing training and development for team members across all skill levels.
- Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain comprehensive work plans for each machine, ensuring readiness for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- Provide the maintenance team with the necessary tools and parts prior to commencing any job, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
- Supervise the proper storage of incoming and refurbished components, ensuring the system is updated upon receipt.
- Follow up with machine crews to confirm that completed work meets organizational standards and is effective.
- Utilize maintenance management software to effectively oversee daily and weekly repair activities.
- Drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives within Lean processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Required Skills & Competencies:
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
- Personable and team-oriented, with a strong emphasis on productivity and reliability.
- Proven technical expertise in industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
- Competence in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
