Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

ABM Services, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs, ensuring the efficient operation of equipment and facilities. This includes responding to spills and other emergency situations, performing tasks necessary to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong plumbing and electrical experience, with a proven track record of troubleshooting and repairing equipment and system problems. They will also be able to maintain continuous operations of equipment, foster a work environment that promotes energy conservation, and conduct utility and equipment tests.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and performing repairs to buildings, utilities, grounds, and equipment
  • Optimizing the repair and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems
  • Using best practices to troubleshoot and repair equipment and system problems
  • Recording all pertinent data in building logbooks and making daily entries
  • Conducting utility and equipment tests
  • Recording pertinent data on all equipment in accordance with federal, state, and local codes and requirements
  • Processing administrative paperwork in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
  • Actively functioning as a team member
  • Demonstrating commitment to quality of service
  • Complying with ABM Services and facilities policies and procedures
  • Complying and participating in facility-specific safety programs
  • Maintaining regular attendance in the workplace
  • Providing the highest quality of service to tenants, staff, and visitors at the facility
  • Participating in regular required communication with Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, management, tenants, and other staff
