Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is responsible for driving sales growth and revenue expansion within a specified territory. This role involves selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, with a focus on coax delivered Internet, video, and voice services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent sales and business development skills, with the ability to generate new leads and close deals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a territory plan to expand the customer base within the assigned area.
  • Generate sales leads through various prospecting tactics and work every lead from initial contact to sale.
  • Place orders through order management software and ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, and billing forms.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, and follow-up activities.
  • Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model.
  • Business-to-business sales experience.
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets.
Working Conditions

The Business Account Executive will work in an office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. The role requires moderate noise levels and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The base pay for this position generally ranges from $47,800.00 to $79,100.00, with a commission earnings target starting at $54,000.
