Job Summary:
Caterpillar's Advanced Materials Technology Department is seeking an experienced Senior Materials Development Engineer to lead metallurgical product development. In this role, you will analyze engine components, provide design support, development, and failure analysis, and collaborate with engine design groups.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement metallurgical testing plans, analyze test results, and create technical reports.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure testing considerations are incorporated into system design.
  • Lead material and material failure analysis investigations, provide technical support to metallurgical laboratory operations personnel.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of materials science, metallurgy, and manufacturing processes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers, provide recommendations, and support deviation requests.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials or Metallurgical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
