Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Customer Service Specialist to join our team at GetixHealth. As a key member of our revenue cycle management team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing and payment of healthcare accounts assigned from our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Collections: Ensure accurate and timely billing and payment of healthcare accounts assigned from our clients.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries (inbound/outbound) utilizing standard procedures and scripts.
  • Gather information, perform research, and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate appropriate options for resolution and inform customers/patients about services available and assess their needs.
  • Schedule work to ensure accurate phone coverage, prioritize calls, and escalate as required.
  • Assist in planning and implementing department goals and make recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
  • Two to five years industry experience in medical revenue cycle management required.
  • Medical Collections experience and understanding of health insurance providers, Workers' Compensation, Medicare, Medicaid, and liability claims processes and contracts.
  • Proven understanding of the medical revenue cycle and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations and attention to detail.
  • Good attendance record and proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform work in alignment with company mission and values.
  • Proven PC proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications.
