Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Customer Service Specialist to join our team at GetixHealth. As a key member of our revenue cycle management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely billing and payment of healthcare accounts assigned to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Collections: Ensure that all medical collections are handled in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as GetixHealth's policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service: Respond to telephone inquiries (inbound/outbound) utilizing standard procedures and scripts, gathering information, performing research, and resolving customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communication: Communicate appropriate options for resolution to customers/patients, inform them about services available, and assess their needs.
  • Phone Coverage: Schedule work to ensure accurate phone coverage, prioritize calls, and escalate as required.
  • Department Goals: Assist in planning and implementing department goals, make recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
  • Experience: Two to five years of industry experience in medical revenue cycle management required.
  • Medical Knowledge: Understanding of health insurance providers, Workers' Compensation, Medicare, Medicaid, and liability claims processes and contracts.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and good attendance record required.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and perform work in alignment with company mission and values.
  • Technical Skills: Proven PC proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications.
