Ninja Training Program Coach

POSITION SUMMARY:
Are you seeking a dynamic and enjoyable work atmosphere? Do you possess experience in gymnastics, climbing, or obstacle courses? We are in search of enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to coaching and willing to learn the intricacies of our obstacle course. As a coach, you will guide youth and teens in maximizing their experience on the course. Your role will involve designing, leading, and instructing participants in our Ninja training initiatives. Foster a supportive and encouraging training environment while inspiring and challenging participants to conquer obstacles throughout the course. This program aims to be educational, informative, and enjoyable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the safety of all participants and members; address any unsafe practices or conditions immediately.
- Educate participants on fundamental maneuvers and safety protocols.
- Assist participants in developing essential skills related to climbing, hanging, and navigating the course.
- Encourage participants to excel in the program.
- Demonstrate and teach proper spotting techniques.
- Design and implement Ninja programs for individuals and groups of varying ages and fitness levels.
- Promote Ninja programs within and outside the facility to enhance participation using marketing resources provided by the organization.
- Inspect, issue, and maintain course equipment; document unsafe equipment and remove it from use for repairs or replacement.
- Motivate and inspire participants to set and achieve their fitness objectives.
- Provide first aid in emergency situations.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the course as necessary.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Exceptional communication skills and a passion for helping others reach their fitness aspirations.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on safety.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Capability to work independently.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Flexibility in approach.
- Knowledge of proper safety equipment usage.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR.
- Ninja Coach Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Understanding of equipment care and maintenance.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of relevant training or coaching experience preferred.
- Strong background in obstacle course training.
WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time, with variable hours that may include evenings and weekends. Coaching hours will depend on session schedules and training times. Maintenance, cleaning, or re-routing of Ninja Zone lanes and equipment will also be part of the responsibilities.
