Position Overview:
As a Solutions Engineer II at GEICO, you will be instrumental in crafting innovative solutions that enhance the developer experience. Your role will focus on streamlining processes and providing tools that foster developer satisfaction and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
In this capacity, you will:
1. Design and implement scalable, robust distributed systems.
2. Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the software development lifecycle.
3. Define product specifications and leverage your technical expertise to achieve optimal solutions.
4. Participate in design discussions and code evaluations to elevate engineering standards across the organization.
5. Utilize programming languages such as GO, Java, TypeScript, React, HTML, Python, C#, and various database technologies including SQL and NoSQL.
6. Share best practices and enhance processes within and between teams.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., GO, Java, C++, Python, or C#) with a solid grasp of object-oriented design.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with micro frontends.
- Experience in the architecture and design of new and existing systems, including reliability and scalability considerations.
- Expertise in creating complex YAML pipeline and workflow configurations in GitHub.
- Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of DevOps principles, Cloud Architecture, and Azure DevOps frameworks.

Additional Skills:
- Intermediate skills in PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of data center structures and Azure platform services.
- Familiarity with security protocols such as Azure Active Directory, SAML, and OAuth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication abilities.

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in platform or general development.
- At least 2 years of experience in system architecture and design.
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
