Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse II to join our team on 7 East, a 28-bed general surgery and bariatric unit at UNC Rex Healthcare. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide competent clinical nursing care to patients with complex problems, including those undergoing bariatric surgery.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date on the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and address cultural and ethnic issues in patient care, ensuring that all patients receive respectful and compassionate care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • One (1) year of nursing experience.
