Maintenance Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Daniel Defense LLC. As a key member of our facilities and maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Safety: Demonstrate commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies, and procedures.
- Maintenance and Repair: Work directly with the Facility & Maintenance Manager to oversee the operation and repair of the facility and production equipment.
- Cost Management: Assist with cost accounting and project planning, submit budget recommendations, and monitor expenditures.
- Skilled Maintenance Work: Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics, refrigeration, and other equipment.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment, including repair of CNC equipment and the use of programmable logic controllers (PLC).
- Equipment Installation and Relocation: Install, teardown, and re-locate a variety of equipment.
- Forklift and Man Lift Maintenance: Maintain forklifts and man lifts.
- Machining and Fabrication: Perform a variety of machine shop fabrication and repairs.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform advanced preventative maintenance using specialized equipment.
- Machining and Bench Operations: Perform various machining or bench operations to alter and repair tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, gauges requiring skill and a basic knowledge of tooling practices and applications.
- Health and Safety: Understand health and safety issues and ensure all safety procedures are followed by assignees.
- Work Order Management: Maintain work order records, through assigning and closing.
- Attendance and Overtime: Report to work on time on scheduled workdays and maintain good work attendance. Work scheduled mandatory overtime hours.
- Job Rotation: Job rotation is required, where applicable.
- Miscellaneous Duties: Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Training and Development: Work with and train other employees. Provide superior customer service at all times.
- General Building Maintenance: Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance.
- Team Support: Provide adequate support, training, and development to team members to continuously improve Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
- Company Standards: Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment, and a positive work environment.
- Other Responsibilities: Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.
- Forklift Driver Skill and Certification: As may be required, forklift driver skill and certification.
- Training and Development: Successfully complete all required training classes, either as prerequisite or selection or to ongoing skill-building training.
- Maintenance Experience: 8 years of maintenance experience.
- Operational Skills: Able to operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment required to perform maintenance.
- Lockout Tagout Knowledge: Knowledge of Lockout Tagout.
- Permission to Play Values: Demonstrated ability to work in accordance with our Permission to Play Values.
- Flexibility: It is understood employees may be assigned to other departments, functional groups, and/or shifts as deemed necessary by management.
- Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Standing and Walking: Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
- Bending and Climbing: Ability to perform occasional bending, climbing, crawling, kneeling, and reaching.
- Work Environment: There are multiple individual jobs covered by this job description with varying physical requirements. May be required to lift or carry parts, and/or other materials of various sizes and weights.
- Manufacturing Environment: Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
- Personal Protection Equipment: Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
