We are currently in search of a qualified:

STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR - RN

Full Time

Position Overview:

  • Oversees the staff development initiatives for the facility.
  • Serves as the personnel health nurse for the organization.
  • Facilitates orientation sessions for all new hires in accordance with established policies.
  • Conducts training on blood-borne pathogens for new staff and provides regular updates.
  • Delivers training on hazard communication standards for new employees and ensures annual refreshers for all staff.
  • Acts as the lead instructor for the Nurse Aide Training Program, as sanctioned by regulatory bodies, when required.
  • Promotes workshops, hospital in-services, or continuing education opportunities relevant to staff and encourages engagement.
  • Coordinates, schedules, and leads in-house training sessions for all personnel.
  • Assists the Nursing Management Team, as directed by the Director of Nursing, in evaluating incident reports.
  • May serve as charge nurse or supervisor during nursing emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with a degree from an accredited nursing program and a current, valid RN license.
  • A minimum of five years of nursing experience in a long-term care environment or in nursing education.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality nursing care and a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proven ability to supervise nursing staff, ensuring timely and appropriate completion of tasks.
  • Strong decision-making skills regarding nursing-related issues.
  • Capability to teach, guide, and direct orientation, continuing education, and in-service training.
  • Familiarity with personnel, departmental, and facility protocols, along with adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
