Job Summary:
A Staff Educator functions as an educator, facilitator, and coordinator for nursing staff, clinical employees, and other healthcare professionals. This role assists the Manager of Education with planning, coordinating, developing, and teaching educational programs to enhance patient care and staff knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational programs to meet the needs of nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Education to plan, coordinate, and evaluate educational programs.
- Maintain current knowledge of hospital policies, accreditation, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Provide educational support to staff on new and updated hospital policies and procedures.
- Assist with the development and implementation of continuing education programs for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state).
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- AHA BLS instructor certification within 6 months of hire.
- AHA ACLS and PALS instructor certification within 6 months of hire.
