About the Role

The Assets Protection Team Leader plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and team members at Target stores. This position requires a strong leader who can prioritize tasks, manage a team, and respond to crisis situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of hourly team members, including interviewing, developing, evaluating, and retaining talent
  • Implement department AP daily/weekly workload priorities to support business priorities and deliver on goals
  • Respond to external theft incidents and prevent future theft
  • Partner with store business leaders to educate and support operational shortage priorities
  • Develop and execute strategies to deliver business results while prioritizing the guest experience
Requirements
  • Age 18 or older
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
  • Previous retail and/or loss prevention experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Manage your workload and prioritize tasks independently
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude
  • Effective communication skills
