About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Service Technician II to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex electrical systems, including fire alarm systems, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments to identify potential issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, applying new knowledge and skills to improve services and processes.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including fire alarm systems.
  • Valid Fire Alarm License - FAL.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
  • Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
  • Retain any licenses that are required by National, State, and Local codes.
  • Completion of SimplexGrinnell Programming training within 12 months.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Willing to obtain NICET certifications.
  • Access Control/Security experience.
