Job Title: Counselor

At Ark Behavioral Health, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Counselor to join our team at our Bedrock Recovery Center in Canton, MA.

Job Summary: The Counselor will provide direct clinical services to clients in a variety of modalities, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy and psychoeducation. The ideal candidate will have experience in treating addictions and co-occurring mental health disorders, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-driven environment.

Clinician Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performing psychosocial evaluations and developing treatment plans and interventions appropriate to the client's needs.
  • Documenting all patient-related activities in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participating in clinical utilization review and interdisciplinary team sessions as needed.
  • Participating in regular clinical supervision rounds and consulting with medical director, program manager, and colleagues as needed.

Clinician Requirements:

  • Knowledge of State and Federal statutes regarding patient confidentiality laws.
  • Knowledge of addiction issues, co-occurring disorders, and the 12-Step Recovery Program.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.

Clinician Experience: 2+ years of experience in mental health or drug and alcohol treatment is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field is also preferred. LADC II is required.
