Student Service Aide I, II, III

Easterseals Massachusetts Inc is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Student Service Aides. As a Student Service Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting students with disabilities to achieve their educational and life goals.
Job Summary:We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with the disability community and are committed to providing individualized services that focus on unlocking every student's full potential. As a Student Service Aide, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Encourage independence and assist students to reach their educational goals as outlined in their individual educational plan.
- Assist students with activities of daily living, including personal care, feeding, toileting, transferring, and transporting students throughout the campus.
- Help students access and utilize their assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and augmentative communication devices.
- Support students with social emotional concerns and assist them in developing positive social skills.
- Assist in the monitoring of students during assigned periods within a variety of school environments.
- Provide support for students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in scheduled activities.
- Establish good rapport and build relationships with peers, students, teachers, and Easterseals Massachusetts Inc staff.
- Provide paraprofessional support.
- General Availability Monday-Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm or availability as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children and/or adults with physical, behavioral, learning, and/or socioemotional disabilities preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience as a personal care assistant or school aide preferred.
- Onsite training & mentoring provided for individuals passionate about working with the disability community.
