Make a Difference in Fire Protection and Security

We are seeking a skilled Fire Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a leader in the fire protection and security industry, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that keep buildings safe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair installed fire alarm and security systems, including panel repair and reprogramming.
  • Organize and utilize technical resources to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Program fire alarm, security, and access control system panels.
  • Experience with CCTV and IT and IP networks is a plus.
  • Complete and submit task-related documentation in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years' experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems (preferred).
  • Retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes. Minimum MA CLASS D.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Good working knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and overnight travel may be required.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NICET II certification.
