About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Engineer IV to join our team at Shimmick. This challenging position will provide an excellent growth opportunity while contributing to the improvement of the city's infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Under minimal supervision, performs complex duties utilizing advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and methods.
  • Organizing, managing and pricing out change orders
  • Corresponding the change order issuance with the project owner
  • Manage cost reports and LDRs
  • Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
  • Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.
  • Is fully competent in most aspects of the job.
  • Works on projects of substantial complexity.
  • Assumes lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support staff.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in heavy civil construction projects
    • Experience managing a team of engineers
    • Producing and implementing work plans
