Position Overview

Energy Impact Partners (EIP) is a prominent global investment platform dedicated to facilitating the transition towards a sustainable energy future. EIP collaborates with innovative entrepreneurs and leading energy and industrial firms to promote advancements in clean energy technology. With $5 billion in assets under management, EIP invests across various sectors including venture, growth, and credit, supported by a team of over 90 professionals.

EIP is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to enhance the expanding Finance department, which operates under the leadership of the CFO and Controller. This team collaborates closely with EIP's investment, operations, and investor relations divisions, maintaining direct communication with the organization's leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements and workbooks for funds managed by EIP.
  • Respond to investor inquiries, collaborating with the investor relations team during fundraising activities.
  • Prepare notices and allocations for capital calls and distributions to limited partner investors.
  • Support the quarterly valuation process for portfolio companies and assist in compiling monitoring data for senior management.
  • Oversee cash management and liquidity, including tracking investment funding and distributions.
  • Prepare journal entries related to cash, accruals, and amortization.
  • Maintain and enhance controls, documentation, and record-keeping practices.
  • Coordinate with fund service providers, including audit, tax, custody, valuation, and portfolio monitoring services.
  • Handle ad hoc responsibilities and analyses as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with outstanding academic credentials.
  • 0-2 years of accounting experience; experience in fund accounting (venture capital or private equity) is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Progress towards CPA designation is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience with Investran is a plus.
  • Strong ethical standards.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, learn quickly, and communicate clearly.
