ROLE SUMMARY

The Operating Room Sanitation Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that the surgical and procedural environments are maintained in a clean, organized, and visually appealing manner. This position involves a variety of tasks including the disinfection of designated areas, dusting, vacuuming, waste disposal, and reporting any mechanical issues.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma or GED is required, or one year of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a diploma.
  • Completion of Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance, and an FBI criminal history check is mandatory.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Potential exposure to chemicals and solvents: 65%
  • Physical demands including pushing, pulling, lifting, and unloading equipment weighing up to 100 lbs: 35%
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods: 80%
  • Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing stairs, and working in confined spaces: 35%
