SUMMARY The Environmental Services Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that designated areas of the hospital are kept in a clean, orderly, and visually appealing state.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, washing furniture and windows, and emptying waste bins.
- Report any mechanical malfunctions or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Strip, wash, and change bedding as required.
- Prepare the cleaning cart daily to ensure readiness for tasks.
- Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma or GED is required, or one year of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a diploma.
  • Must pass a Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance, and an FBI criminal history check.
WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Potential exposure to chemicals and solvents (65.00%)
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting, and unloading equipment weighing up to 100 lbs (35.00%)
  • Frequent and prolonged sitting, standing, or walking (80.00%)
  • Requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing stairs, and working in small spaces (35.00%)
