SUMMARY

The Environmental Services Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the operating room and associated surgical areas. This position is vital for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities include:
  • Disinfecting designated areas
  • Dusting and vacuuming surfaces
  • Emptying waste receptacles
  • Reporting any mechanical issues or failures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma or GED is required, or one year of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of educational qualifications.
  • Completion of a Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance, and an FBI criminal history check is mandatory.
WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Potential exposure to chemicals and solvents (65% of the time)
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and unload equipment weighing up to 100 lbs (35% of the time)
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods (80% of the time)
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs/ladders in confined spaces (35% of the time)
