Efficiently monitor different types of manufacturing equipment such as blenders, fermenters, large scale dryers, sieving, etc. * Managing Staff: Organize workflow, assign responsibilities, coordinate schedules, train new employees, and maintain equipment. * Quality Control: Ensuring product quality meets standards. * Safety Enforcement: Implement safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. Ensure that the production facility meets safety standards, equipment is used safely, and maintenance is scheduled regularly. * Monitor Performance: Check production output against specifications, provide constructive feedback and coaching. * Troubleshoot: Identify issues and suggest improvements, and work with specialist teams to ensure compliance and keep production downtime to a minimum. * Report: Submit reports on performance and progress. * Relationships: Maintains working relationship with union members and representatives by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending action. Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; Strong organizational and time management skills; Process improvement knowledge; Safety-focus; Team management and coaching; Decisions making; Production planning; Controls and instrumentation understanding; Strategic planning with an emphasis on attention to detail; Budgeting and financial planning; Good communicator
able to work and collaborate with many disciplines, with capabilities to write and present. Attention to detail; Computer proficiency skills (MS Suite, etc.) required and ERP System skills preferred. Demonstrated safety record and comprehensive OSHA knowledge. B.A./B.S. or related experience may be substituted. 3-5 years
experience in a manufacturing plant, groom for promotion
