Role Description

This position is with a leading business unit specializing in the research, development, and production of advanced ground-vehicle systems, electro-optical systems, and innovative munitions technology. The company is recognized for its expertise in high-performance missile and rocket systems.

We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to our Fixed Wing Program Area. As part of the Electro-Mechanical team, you will engage in hands-on hardware development, innovative design, and skill enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design complex electronic chassis, printed wiring boards (PWB), circuit card assemblies (CCA), and cable harnesses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure product excellence and timely availability for operational needs.
  • Report to the Hardware Integrated Product Team Lead to create harness concepts for subsystem interfaces, wiring diagrams, and Development Parts Lists (DPL).
  • Support component procurement and integration efforts.
  • Work effectively with diverse internal teams and manage supplier inputs while developing comprehensive internal documentation.
  • Conduct design trade studies to evaluate cost, weight, packaging, and power benefits.
  • Participate in a fast-paced environment utilizing a tailored Product Development Process (PDP) to support rapid missile demonstrations.
Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including:

  • Proficiency in CREO, Zuken, missile harnessing techniques, missile architecture, and integration.
  • Experience with printed wiring board (PWB), circuit card assembly (CCA) design, and cable harnesses.
  • Familiarity with CAMEO is a plus.
