We are seeking a skilled Imaging Systems Support Engineer to provide exceptional service and maintenance for Agfa's DR and imaging products. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure optimal performance and reliability of imaging systems at various client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all Agfa imaging devices within the designated area, ensuring prompt troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with fellow Field Service Engineers to assist in out-of-territory support as required.
  • Deliver comprehensive feedback regarding technology performance and service quality to the US DR product team.
  • Coordinate with Project Management and Installation Teams to effectively plan and execute installations.
  • Engage with sales teams to identify potential DR opportunities and provide technical assistance during pre-sales and post-sales processes.
  • Conduct installation, maintenance, and repair of Agfa DR systems and related OEM products.
  • Provide training to customers on operational functions of DR and imaging equipment.
  • Respond promptly to hardware and software issues to maintain customer satisfaction and system uptime.
  • Develop solutions for technical challenges by collaborating with IT administrators and external support teams.
  • Ensure maximum uptime and efficiency of all Agfa imaging systems.
  • Install necessary software and hardware, conducting performance analyses as required.
  • Identify and resolve DR and imaging system issues through effective troubleshooting techniques.
  • Manage escalation processes for unresolved issues, keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technology field.
  • Certifications such as MCSE, Network +, and CIIP are advantageous.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years in a technical customer support role, specifically with x-ray and digital imaging systems.
  • 2 to 3 years in a specialist role focusing on x-ray technology is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems is beneficial.
  • Experience with electronic and electromechanical systems is essential.
Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of DR support, networking, and operating systems (UNIX and Windows).
  • Proficiency in databases (Oracle and SQL) and digital medical image processing.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and knowledge management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven organizational and time management abilities.
  • Adaptability to change and effective priority management.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience in a global work environment, fostering relationships with remote teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the technical services sector and healthcare landscape.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for business requirements.
  • Eligibility for customer-initiated security clearances.
