Court Social Services Specialist

The Center for Alternative is committed to providing exceptional support to individuals navigating the complex legal system. As a Court Social Worker, you will play a vital role in assessing and supporting these individuals, utilizing your expertise to develop effective intervention strategies.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in social work or a related field and NYS licensure. Your proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments, screening interviews, and risk evaluations will be crucial in ensuring participant safety and well-being.
Responsibilities- Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments, screening interviews, and risk evaluations using HCR-20 v3 and START assessments.
- Case Management: Develop and implement individualized Alternatives to Incarceration (ATI) program plans, ensuring compliance with assessment requirements and quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with judges, district attorneys, defense counsel, probation, and other court partners to facilitate program admissions and maintain the credibility of the Center for Alternative in court.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and complete necessary intake paperwork, including entering participant information into the ECM/AWARDS databases.
- Masters Degree: Required in social work or human services field.
- NYS Licensure: LMHC, MHC-LP, LMSW, or LCSW.
- Professionalism: Highly articulate, resourceful, and professional – able to stand up in court and present detailed information effectively.
- Time Management: Proven ability to function effectively in high-paced and stressful environments.
- Salary: $65,000 per year.
- Vacation and Paid Time Off: Starting at 25 days.
