Job Overview

The Finance and Capital Markets Manager, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance and Capital Markets, is tasked with overseeing the corporate funding strategies, which include both debt and equity financing. This role also involves supporting the structuring and execution of tax equity and tax credit transfers, as well as managing large-scale infrastructure financing projects. The aim is to enhance the organization's capital efficiency and improve its overall financial structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the execution of significant corporate and infrastructure financing initiatives in collaboration with lenders and legal experts.
  • Develop and manage financial models for corporate and project finance to assess performance and investment valuations.
  • Assist in negotiating term sheets, credit agreements, and strategic joint ventures.
  • Support the capital structuring and underwriting processes, including mergers and acquisitions and financing for acquisitions.
  • Oversee due diligence and analysis related to corporate debt financing, asset purchases, and divestitures.
  • Prepare presentations for the Investment Committee to secure internal approvals, as well as create marketing materials for financing requests.
  • Ensure close coordination with the project development team to accurately evaluate financing needs and due diligence processes.
  • Engage with capital providers and financial institutions to structure and market transactions.
  • Mentor team members to support their professional growth.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project finance, corporate finance, or investment banking.
  • Experience in renewable energy sectors, including solar, wind, and storage financing.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to balance delegation with hands-on involvement in documentation and financial modeling.
  • Positive attitude with clear and open communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Physical Requirements:

The Finance and Capital Markets Manager may need to perform the following physical activities:

  • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Move about to complete tasks or transition between work locations.
  • Adjust or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Engage in repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Evaluate the accuracy and thoroughness of assigned work.
