Position Overview:

The Cybersecurity Analytics and Machine Learning Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that facilitate large-scale cyber data analytics across diverse technological platforms. This role requires the application of advanced consulting skills, extensive technical knowledge, and comprehensive industry insight to create innovative solutions for complex challenges. The individual will work independently or guide and mentor team members.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.
  • Experience in data-centric tasks related to cybersecurity, including engineering analysis, machine learning algorithm development, and architecture strategies for cyber defense.
  • Background in developing and supporting cybersecurity solutions with an emphasis on data engineering and analytics.
  • Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies, including Splunk or Elasticsearch.
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, data research, or data engineering, or 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing technical solutions and leading teams in their implementation.
  • Knowledge of penetration testing data, advanced threat hunting, or experience leading Red and Blue teams.
  • Expertise in architecting and designing innovative analytic methods and state-of-the-art machine learning techniques.
  • Experience in developing data workflows to integrate diverse data sources and derive actionable insights.
  • Ability to utilize a broad range of data science capabilities and languages to analyze and resolve critical data issues while ensuring data integrity.
  • Proven ability to identify and optimize business opportunities in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Possession of a Master's degree.

Security Clearance:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.

Salary at Booz Allen is influenced by various factors, including location, education, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 annually. This range represents the typical salary for this role and is part of Booz Allen's total compensation package.

Work Environment:

Our people-first culture emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remote. If this position is designated as remote or hybrid, periodic work from a Booz Allen or client site facility will be required. For onsite roles, in-person collaboration with colleagues and clients will be necessary.
