Position Overview:

As a Cybersecurity Risk Assessor at General Dynamics, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing our clients' missions. Our commitment to cybersecurity is integrated into every facet of our operations, and you will have the opportunity to evolve alongside cutting-edge technologies.


Impact of the Role:
  • Deliver comprehensive documentation outlining identified system risks, assessment methodologies, and outcomes.
  • Enhance assessment operations through the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the assessment process.
  • Analyze vulnerabilities and potential exploitations.
  • Review and provide recommendations on program-level documentation, including security plans and test strategies.
  • Formulate and document security evaluation plans and procedures.
  • Assist in the development of relevant Information Security policies and guidance.
  • Participate in or lead Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMS) and application review boards, documenting outcomes.
  • Provide management updates on the status of action items and results.
  • Conduct hands-on security testing, analyze results, document risks, and propose countermeasures.
  • Evaluate and quantify risks based on identified threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Identify and recommend mitigating strategies for security threats and vulnerabilities.

Qualifications for Success:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in cybersecurity roles.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Three years of cybersecurity experience, including one year conducting Security Control Assessments (SCAs) under recognized frameworks.
    • Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Google, Azure).
    • Proficiency in conducting vulnerability assessments and recognizing security weaknesses.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, attack strategies, and relevant regulations.
    • Strong analytical and writing skills.
